Description

As cowboy lookin’ as they come and stamped with dun factor galore! Red Bloom has a black face, tiger-striped legs up to his belly, a thick dorsal stripe, and bulldog-style conformation measuring just as wide as he is tall. He will perform all the reining/cow horse maneuvers with an easy lead change, solid spins, and a stylish sliding stop. He’s a pretty mover with a naturally low headset. He has a rocking chair lope with pretty circles, a nice ground covering a long trot across the pasture, and a super smooth jog that you can sit all day long. Red Bloom has been used for all types of cow work. He’s been cut on, boxed on and down the fence. He’s loaded with natural cow and has a pretty working style. He’s quiet and easygoing and will not shake up a herd. Red Bloom has been roped on in the pasture, steer stopped out of the box, and roped the sled. He has great rate and timing which lets you focus on roping. He is very smooth and comfortable to ride. We have ridden Red Bloom a million outside miles. He is an absolute dream to ride outside and willingly goes right where you point him through rocky and rough mountain terrain, running river water, knee-deep mud, tall brush, and prickly cactus. He side passes to open and shut all the gates, smoothly goes over the logs and bridges, and will drag whatever you dally to the saddle horn. Red Bloom is very easy to handle on the ground and is always gentle. He is the same horse every time you saddle him with zero silly business. He is good with noisy traffic, loud gunfire, blowing tarps, crazy dogs, and wildlife. Red Bloom has all the talent and ability to go to horse shows in the Ranch Versatility, Ranch Riding, and Cowhorse events. He would be a phenomenal ranch horse that is fancy enough for the boss man to ride or he would be just as happy being your partner for the recreational trail rides or avid cross-country competitions. Red Bloom’s distinctive and “ranchy” look has a presence that turns heads everywhere we take him. This is an outstanding young gelding that can easily go in any direction!
