Dorian is a old Dutch Warmblood horse mare standing 16 hands . This sweet mare is smooth and easygoing with the athleticism to excel in any direction. Dorian has done it all: paperchases, hunter paces, horse showing, lessons, trail riding and more! This lady is a simple, level headed mare with a great brain and fantastic attitude.
In the barn, Dorian is quiet and sweet. She enjoys attention and being groomed by the kids. She stands to be tacked, bathed, and fussed with. She is happy going out with other mares or geldings and doesn’t have a ‘mare-ish’ attitude. In the ring, Dorian is happy doing whatever job is asked of her. She will pack the children around in lessons, or bravely jump a course of jumps with her knees tucked and ears up. She is always ready to work and does not mind a green or inexperienced rider. Dorian by far has the most comfortable canter in the entire barn, making her a favorite for many of our riders.In the show ring, Dorian is calm and collected. She enjoys showing off her skills and always takes care of her rider. She is not spooky and never gets worked up in the excitement. This mare is brave and honest when it comes to new jumps and new situations.
On the trails, Dorian is happy and relaxed. She will lead, follow, or ride alone. She crosses all obstacles and will go into water, over logs, rocks, and on the road. She will stand quietly at the trailer and is a pleasure to hack out.Under harness, Dorian is quiet and simple. She is totally traffic safe and sound. She has a great work ethic under harness and will take you safely wherever you go.Overall, this is a mare with an unbeatable brain and attitude. She has experience with a little bit of everything and will excel in whatever direction you pursue. Dorian is safe enough for children and beginners, yet talented enough for an advanced rider to enjoy and compete on.Dorian is sound with no vices.
